NZME
NZME began its journey in media and entertainment industry as the publisher of Auckland’s first Newspaper in 1863. At the time of commencing the project NZME were celebrating 150 years in their current location. From their beginnings as a newspaper in 1863 our client has grown into a media and entertainment giant, owning and operating 85 brands across radio stations, newspaper mast heads and online businesses.
Our brief was to develop a workplace and workstyle to enable the merging of all the business and cultures from the current day 28,000 sqm across multiple sites into 8,500 sqm of real estate, accommodating under one roof journalists, easy listening and heavy metal radio stations, emerging digital businesses and corporate offices. In addition to the workplace brief elevate technology consolidate all technology infrastructure that was spread across multiple sites and supporting three core businesses; radio, newspaper and digital. This consolidation meant integrating supporting technology infrastructure into 8,500 sqm of real estate, accommodating under one roof journalists, easy listening and heavy metal radio stations, emerging digital businesses and corporate offices.
In addition to be an award-winning interior the elevate technology team won the ‘New Zealand Excellence In IT Awards’, achieving no disruption to broadcasting services and no missed milestones. Post consolidation elevate technology remained in the chair as the acting CIO to complete BAU strategies.
